What's new
Every update we ship to your dashboard, newest first. You're on version 2.34.
- ImprovedThe portal is now built only for solar installers
Every page, form and message in the portal now speaks to solar installers. The wording you see across the dashboard, visit log and onboarding is the same everywhere.
- NewSee how fast every homeowner hears back
Your dashboard has a new First Response card. It shows how long it takes, from the moment a homeowner finishes your quiz to the moment they get their first message, across the last 30 days. You get the typical time and the slowest one in ten, so you can see both the normal day and the bad one. Automated texts count towards it, because a homeowner cannot tell the difference and neither can their phone. Leads nobody has messaged yet are counted on their own rather than being folded into the average, so the figure never flatters itself. If we could not measure a lead for any reason, that is shown separately too, and it is on us to fix rather than anything for you to chase. The card is on the phone app as well, where you can move it or hide it from Edit dashboard like any other card.
- ImprovedA booking from someone your quiz screened out is now flagged
If someone your quiz screened out books a slot anyway, their lead now says so on its timeline and the booking stays off your CRM calendar. The slot itself is still held, so cancel it if you do not want the visit.
- NewEvery lead now shows where it came from
Open a lead and the Quiz responses tab tells you three more things about it. Where it came from, so you can see which of your campaigns produced it. What you have permission for, so you know before you text or email them. And any photos or documents they sent with their answers. The permissions list reads Yes, No or Not recorded for each one, and a No means you do not have that permission, whether they said no or were never asked, so treat both the same way. Your lead list shows the source on the row itself, and the Activity tab now includes the steps we recorded on the way in, such as the moment the lead reached your CRM and the moment it got booked.
- NewYour quiz has its own page
There is a new Your quiz tab. It shows the link your ads send homeowners to, a code you can scan to open it on your phone, the card your quiz shows when someone shares that link, and how many people opened it this week and became leads. If you want a question, some wording or the photo changed, ask from that page and we will make the change for you. It is on the phone app too.
- NewEvery lead shows its answers and hot flag
Some leads come in through a newer route than others behind the scenes, and until now those leads showed up with no answers and no hot flag even when they qualified. Every lead now shows what it actually knows: its answers on the Quiz responses tab and a hot badge when it earns one, whichever route it came in through.
- NewNew app icon
The portal now uses the same icon as the phone app. You will see it in your browser tab, in your bookmarks, on your home screen when you install the portal, and next to Get Solar Clients in the sidebar.
- NewThe iPhone app is on the App Store
The phone app is now live for iPhone and iPad as well as Android. Get it from Settings, Get the app, scan the code there with your phone camera, or search Get Solar Clients Portal on the App Store. It is the same dashboard you use on a computer, with your leads, calendar and visits in your pocket.
- ImprovedYour hot-lead rules read your own questions
Your hot-lead settings, and the copy of your sign-up answers under Settings, now use the exact questions your funnel asks rather than a general list. Installers read what the homeowner is looking for and what their energy costs. One installer question is now labelled "Looking for" instead of "What would you like a free quote for". Nothing you or your account manager have already set has changed.
- NewYou tell us what makes a lead hot when you join
Your sign-up form now asks what a homeowner must have before we call them a hot lead. Tick the answers that matter to you and your starting rules are set the day your account opens, instead of waiting for us to ask. The questions match your trade. You can change any of it later, and your account manager can too.
- NewYour Setup is now an engine map
Everything we build for you sits in one of five stages: Attract, Capture, Nurture, Book, Expand. Each item shows whether it is live, in build, or planned, and you can request a change from any card.
- FixedRequest a change types into the right box
On Your Setup, the note box under a request opened by a lower card could put your cursor in the first card's box instead. Every card now keeps its own.
- ImprovedYour waiting screens read your trade
Before your ads go live, the Visits page describes what you will be logging. The wording there now matches what the page shows once you are live.
- ImprovedThe Visits page reads your trade
The description at the top of the Visits page now says "visit".
- ImprovedYour visit log speaks your trade too
The visit log wording was tidied so the quality scale and both downloads carry the same terms.
- NewYour service area on a map
New clients draw the area they cover during onboarding. It shows on your answers page, and the team uses it to keep leads inside your patch.
- ImprovedClients who serve more than one region can now record each area on the map.
Every area is drawn on the same map with its own summary line, and the covered postcode list and the downloads take all of them into account.
- ImprovedYour dashboard speaks your trade
The dashboard, visit log and agreement now use one consistent set of wording.
- NewOnboarding review shows the business type
The review page now shows the services answer first under Services.
- ImprovedSettings shows its heading straight away
When you open Settings, the page title appears at once while the sections load underneath it.
- ImprovedRequest a change sits near the top of Settings
The Help and support section now comes right after your profile, so asking for a change or reporting a problem takes fewer scrolls and far fewer Tab presses.
- FixedDeal values with a thousands separator now show
A lead's Opportunity figure is read from the deal in your CRM. When that value was typed with a comma or a currency symbol it showed the placeholder dash; it now shows the amount.
- ImprovedButtons are easier to tap on a phone
Every button and menu control is now at least 44 pixels tall on small screens. On small screens the Sign out button shows its icon on its own, so the whole top bar fits one row.
- FixedOpportunity value on a lead shows in your currency
The Opportunity figure on a lead now comes from the deal itself and is shown in your company's currency.
- ImprovedKeyboard users can jump straight to the page
A "Skip to content" link appears on the first Tab press, lead pages switch tabs with the arrow keys, and explainer icons now tell screen readers what they open.
- ImprovedVisit history shows what is coming before launch
Before your first booked visit, the history page explains what will appear there, the same way Leads and Visits do.
- FixedNo second email when a request is closed from the phone
When your account manager closed one of your change requests from their phone, a second tap on a list that had not caught up yet could send you the same "your change request is done" email twice. Closing an already-closed request now does nothing at all, so you get one confirmation and one only. The phone also now tells them whether that confirmation actually reached you, which the desktop has done since the last release.
- FixedTeam invitations now say what went wrong
Every failed invitation showed the same line, that the email service was down, even when the real reason was a mistyped address. The Team page now tells you when an address cannot receive mail so you can correct it, and the Send invitation button shows a spinner while it works instead of sitting on a frozen label.
- ImprovedBack closes a pop-up instead of leaving the page
Pressing Back with the Request a change or Report a problem box open, or on the Trouble signing in step, used to take you off the page entirely. It now closes the box and leaves you where you were, and one press is enough. Reloading or closing the tab with an unfinished request, problem report or lead tag typed in now asks you first.
- FixedSign-in messages read as messages, not small print
On the sign-in page, being told to enter your email before asking for help appeared as faint grey text under the form and was easy to miss. It now appears in the same red style as every other sign-in message.
- ImprovedFilters on Visits history show they are working
Picking a date range, a result chip, or running a search on Visits history can take a couple of seconds. The filters now dim and the Search button shows a spinner until the new list lands, instead of looking like nothing happened.
- ImprovedThe Calendar page says what it holds in plain English
The line under Calendar now reads as your booked visits with the next ones first, and points at Visits history for anything older than 90 days.
- FixedLead pages open faster and the filter message says what to do next
Opening a lead used to sit on a blank outline for a couple of seconds while the page fetched everything one piece at a time. It now fetches them together and appears sooner. On the leads list, when you stack a tag filter and Hot only and nothing is left, the message now says which filters are on and to clear one, instead of pointing at a single filter. Times on the Activity, Transcript and Quiz tabs all read in UK time now, in one style.
- FixedWhen we resolve your request you get an email, and we now know if it did not send
Marking one of your change requests as handled always sent you a confirmation email, but if that email failed to send, nothing told us. We would think you had been told when you had not. The person resolving it now sees straight away whether the email reached you, so a silent failure gets followed up by hand instead of being missed.
- ImprovedExplainer tiles open on a single tap on phones
Tapping one of the five Engine tiles on your dashboard, or any of the small explainer labels beside them, used to flash the explanation open and shut in the same tap. On a phone they now open on one tap and close on the next.
- ImprovedPages show a progress bar while they load
Clicking a tab in the side menu now paints a thin blue line across the top of the screen until the next page is ready, so a slower page no longer looks like a click that did nothing.
- FixedVisit times now always show in UK time
On the Visits page, the time on a visit card could load an hour out before correcting itself, and the Logged stamp underneath used a different date style again. Both now read in UK time, in one style, from the moment the page appears.
- FixedPages no longer flicker while they finish loading
A few screens briefly showed one value and then swapped it for another as they finished loading, because the time was being worked out twice. They now settle on the right value first time.
- FixedBook a call now opens a working booking page
The Book a call button, on your dashboard and in Settings under Your relationship with us, pointed at a booking page that had stopped loading. It now opens our own page, where you pick a time and get the meeting link straight away.
- FixedThe notification bell no longer shows technical error text
When the app sent us an automatic report about something breaking, your notification bell printed the whole technical report back at you. It now reads "Automatic crash report from your app", the same wording the dashboard and Settings already used. Your own requests show just what you typed, without the internal category line above it.
- ImprovedEscape closes the notification list
Pressing Escape now closes the notification dropdown and puts you back on the bell, the same as every other pop-up in the dashboard.
- FixedPasskey sign-in no longer hangs forever
If your fingerprint, face or PIN prompt never came back, the sign-in page used to sit on Signing in with both buttons greyed out until you reloaded. It now gives up after a minute and a half, tells you, and lets you try again or use your password.
- FixedLeaving two-factor setup halfway now tidies up after itself
Opening the two-factor setup page and then leaving without finishing used to leave a half-finished entry on your account. It is now cleared when you leave, and again next time you open Settings, Security.
- FixedNo more sideways scrolling on a phone
On a narrow phone screen the Leads summary line broke into a one word per line staircase and pushed the page sideways. It now wraps properly, and the sign-in footer and a few admin screens were tidied the same way.
- FixedA tab left open after signing out elsewhere now says so
If your session ended somewhere else while a dashboard tab was still open, that tab used to keep showing your pages as if nothing had happened until you reloaded it. It now spots this and takes you to the sign-in page.
- ImprovedThe analytics question no longer sits over your buttons
The first-visit question about usage analytics used to float over the page and block whatever was underneath it. It now sits in a strip at the top of the page, so nothing is covered and every button stays clickable.
- FixedWaiting out a sign-in cooldown no longer locks the account
If you typed your password too many times in a row and were asked to wait 15 minutes, those blocked attempts used to count toward the separate lock that asks you to reset your password. Waiting and trying again could lock you out on its own. Blocked attempts no longer count. Only a genuinely wrong password does.
- FixedYour display size and dashboard width now stick
Both settings quietly failed to save on most accounts, so they reset on your next visit. They save properly now, and if a save ever fails you get told instead of a tick.
- ImprovedThe Android app is live
Settings, Get the app now shows the phone app as available on Android. Scan the QR code or use the button to install it. iPhone is still finishing App Store review.
- NewChoose how wide your dashboard runs
Settings now has a Dashboard width choice. Full width lets pages use your whole screen. Compact keeps them in a centered column, the way they looked before. Your choice sticks across visits.
- NewAustralian Dollar now supported
Your display currency can now be set to Australian Dollars, alongside British Pounds, US Dollars, and Canadian Dollars.
- FixedCurrency switch now updates every page right away
Switching your display currency used to leave other open pages showing the old currency for a short while. Every page now reflects the new currency immediately.
- ImprovedCurrency switch now confirms before changing your numbers
Selecting a new display currency shows a quick confirmation first, since it converts every dashboard amount using today's exchange rate.
- ImprovedTidier Settings, continued
Security and Team now share one card, and so do your service agreement and onboarding answers. Related settings sit together instead of in separate boxes.
- ImprovedTidier Settings
Settings is now grouped under clear headings, Preferences, Notifications, Security, Team, and more, so what you're looking for is easier to find. Same settings, just easier to scan.
- ImprovedTidy up your own request history
Dismiss a request from your recent requests, on the dashboard and in Settings, once you've read it. Resolved requests still drop off on their own after a week either way.
- ImprovedCleaner request history
Your recent requests, on the dashboard and in Settings, now show a short summary and a status at a glance. Anything long, including a report your app sent automatically after a crash, stays tidy behind a Full report link instead of filling the screen.
- NewPasskey sign-in, now on the mobile app too
Sign in with Face ID or your fingerprint instead of typing a password. Passkeys have worked on the dashboard since July, and now work the same way in the mobile app. Add one from Settings, Security. For the smoothest setup, use your device's built-in password manager: Apple Passwords on iPhone or Mac, Google Password Manager on Android or Chrome, or Windows Hello on Windows.
- ImprovedLeads list catches up too
The Leads screen now filters by your own tags and by each lead's latest visit result (Met, Not at home, and so on), and every lead row shows that result at a glance. The old outside tag list is gone from the Leads screen as well.
- NewLead tags you control
Each lead now shows its latest visit result (Met, Not at home, and so on) automatically, straight from your visit log. You can also add and remove your own tags on any lead, and they stay yours: nothing else touches them.
- NewThe number on Leads is now the leads nobody has opened
That number used to mean leads that arrived today, so it reset itself at midnight whether or not you had looked at any of them, and opening a lead changed nothing. It now counts the leads nobody on your team has opened yet. Open one, or tap Call on it, and the number drops by one. Leads older than 30 days never count, so the number stays a list of what is waiting rather than a pile of everything you have ever received.
- NewSee at a glance which leads are still waiting
Every lead nobody has opened carries a blue dot and a New tag in your list, and its name is in bold, so you can scan a month of contacts and see what is left. A New only button at the top of the list shows just those, which matters because the ones waiting are not always the most recent. The list header now leads with the same count, so the number in the sidebar, the tags in the list and the header all say the same thing.
- FixedAutomation cards no longer show an Open button
The automations on your setup page are a view of work that runs behind the scenes for you, so there is nothing to open. One of those cards was still showing an Open button that took you somewhere unrelated. Automation cards now show what runs and nothing else, so a card with a picture and a description is complete rather than broken. Your funnels and websites still open and copy exactly as before.
- NewSee everything that was logged about a visit
Your visit history showed the lead, the date and the outcome, and nothing else. Every row now opens to show the rest of what was recorded at the door: the notes, the lead quality score, whether it converted, the project value, whether financing was used, and any second appointment booked. Notes were already searchable, so you could find a visit by a word in its note and then not be shown the note. Now you can read it.
- NewBreak your results down by week or by year
The results table under your metrics was fixed to months. You can now switch it to weeks, which is how most installers actually think about their pipeline. A yearly view appears on its own once you have more than one year of history to compare. Whichever view you pick, the totals add up to the same year to date figure, so switching never changes the size of your year.
- FixedThe offline message no longer appears when you are online
An offline notice could appear while you were on a perfectly good connection, and once it appeared it stayed until you reloaded the page. It was being triggered by ordinary background requests that get cancelled as you click around. It now only appears when your browser reports you are actually offline, and it clears itself the moment a request goes through.
- ImprovedA cleaner, calmer look for every card
Cards across the portal now share one softer shape, with rounder corners and a gentle shadow instead of a hard outline, and the page behind them is a touch deeper so they stand out on their own. Numbers and headings are unchanged, so everything sits where you expect it, just easier on the eye over a long session.
- FixedPasskeys now work with more password managers
Some password managers, Dashlane among them, package a new passkey in a way our sign-in service could not read, so adding one failed with an error. The portal now repackages every passkey the standard way before sending it, so passkeys saved in a password manager register and sign in like any other.
- FixedPasskey sign-in no longer gets stuck
If something went wrong while finishing a passkey sign-in, the page could sit on "signing in" with nothing to read and no way forward. It now tells you what happened, and if you were already signed in it tells you to refresh to carry on. Adding a passkey behaves the same way instead of leaving the button spinning.
- ImprovedA way forward when a password manager will not save your passkey
Some password managers create a passkey that cannot be verified when you use it. Instead of a message that just says it did not finish, you are now told to add it again using your device sign-in, meaning your fingerprint, face or PIN.
- ImprovedClearer help when a passkey will not set up
If adding a passkey, or signing in with one, does not finish, the message now has a Technical details line you can open and send us. It tells us exactly where it stopped, so we can sort it out without a round of back and forth.
- ImprovedThe tag filter stays out of your way
The tag filter on your leads list now starts closed, so your leads are the first thing you see. Open it when you want to narrow the list, close it when you are done. If you have tags selected, the count stays on the header so you always know the list is filtered.
- NewFilter your leads by tag
Your leads list now has a tag filter. Search your tags and pick one or more to narrow the list to just those contacts, on top of the hot-lead filter you already have.
- NewStart your retainer from a secure link
When your monthly retainer is ready to begin, your Billing page can now show a clear prompt with a secure link to enter your card and get started. Weekly appointment billing keeps working exactly as before.
- FixedFewer duplicate reminders
Your daily nudge to log appointment outcomes is now a single reminder that updates itself instead of stacking a new one every day, so your notifications stay tidy.
- NewSpotted a problem? Report it in two clicks
Settings now has a Report a problem button next to Request a change. Tell us what went wrong and your portal version and browser details come along automatically, so we can reproduce it and get you a fix fast.
- NewPut a face on your account
You can now add a profile photo in Settings, and the account owner can add a company photo too. Photos show on your profile and your team list; anyone without one keeps their initials. All optional.
- ImprovedPassword managers fill sign-in even better
The login email field now carries the exact hints password managers look for, so 1Password, Dashlane, LastPass, and iCloud Keychain offer your saved login more reliably, and it is pre-wired for passkey suggestions to appear right in the field as browser support lands.
- NewYour dashboard now works offline
Lose your connection and the pages you have already visited keep working, showing the latest numbers from your last visit with a clear offline notice at the top. The moment your connection returns, everything refreshes automatically. Making changes still needs a connection.
- NewSign in with a passkey
You can now sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN instead of typing a password. Add a passkey under Settings, Security, Passkeys, and the login page gains a Sign in with a passkey button. Your password keeps working, and two-factor rules stay exactly the same.
- ImprovedBigger QR code for grabbing the app
In Settings, the Get the app QR code now opens full size when you click it, so scanning it with your phone from across the desk actually works.
- NewDevice alerts get their own switch
Hot lead alerts now show a Push switch in Settings next to Email and In-app. Turning hot lead emails off no longer silences alerts on your phone or desktop, and you can turn device alerts off without touching email.
- FixedOffline page's Try again now works
If you open the dashboard with no connection, the Try again button on the offline screen now actually retries instead of doing nothing.
- ImprovedClearer notification switches
On and off states are easier to tell apart, switches wait for a change to save before accepting another tap, and the This device card now says plainly that device alerts follow your hot lead Email choice.
- NewGet the app, right from Settings
Settings now has a Get the app card. Scan the QR code with your phone, or hit the button to be taken to the right store for your device. Same dashboard, one tap from your home screen.
- FixedNo more sign-in loop after an expired session
If your session expired, the dashboard could get stuck redirecting until you cleared your cookies by hand. It now signs you out cleanly and brings you straight to the login page with a note about what happened.
- ImprovedNotification settings, tidied up
Your notification settings now group by what you get, with a clear choice of how you get each one. Same options, far easier to read.
- ImprovedAdd the app from more browsers
You can now add the dashboard to your desktop from Safari and Firefox, not just Chrome and Edge. Look for Add to desktop in the top bar.
- ImprovedA friendlier offline screen
If your connection drops while the app is open, you now see a clear "you're offline" screen instead of a browser error.
- FixedClearing notifications on touchscreens
Clearing a single notification now works properly on a touchscreen or the installed app, not just with a mouse.
- ImprovedGet the app on more platforms
The login screen's Get the app button now leads to Windows, Android, and iPhone downloads.
- NewNotifications for hot leads
Turn on notifications in Settings and this device alerts you the moment a hot lead comes in, even when the dashboard is closed. Turn it on separately on each device where you want the alerts.
- ImprovedUnread counts on your app icon
Your app icon now shows a small count when you have unread alerts, so you can see there is something waiting without opening the dashboard.
- NewControl your in-app alerts
Settings now lets you choose which alerts show in the bell inside the dashboard: hot lead alerts, your daily outcome reminder, and updates on changes you have requested. Turning one off hides it from your bell.
- ImprovedClearer hot lead criteria
The list showing what counts as a hot lead for your account now reads in plain, up to date wording that matches your funnel questions.
- NewFull screen mode
A button in the top bar opens your dashboard full screen, hiding everything but the product for a clean, distraction-free view. Press it again or hit Esc to come back.
- NewChoose which emails you get
Settings now lets you pick which recurring emails land in your inbox: hot lead alerts, your daily outcome reminder, and the weekly performance recap. Account and security emails always send.
- NewSet your default display size
Settings > Preferences now sets the size your dashboard opens at every time. The corner control is still there for a quick, temporary peek that resets when you refresh.
- ImprovedA nicer first look
A subtle animation greets you the first time the dashboard opens in a session.
- NewPreview your documents
Documents now show a thumbnail you can click to open full screen, right alongside the download button, so you can check a file before you save it.
- NewSet your display size
A control in the bottom corner lets you make everything larger or more compact to fit your screen. Your choice is saved to your account.
- ImprovedMore at a glance on Your Setup
Tighter cards so more of your funnels, automations, and websites fit on screen at once.
- NewYour documents, ready to download
The new Documents section on Your Setup holds the files we produce for you, like your brand guidelines, ready to view and download any time.
- NewSee everything we run for you
The new Your Setup tab shows your funnels, automations, website, brand work, and ad creative, each with a preview and one tap to open or copy.
- NewAll your links in one place
Settings now lists the standard links we run for your business: your live ads, quiz funnel, CRM login, and shared folder, each one tap to copy.
- ImprovedFaster change requests
Pick a category when you request a change, so we know exactly what you need without the back and forth.
- ImprovedA smoother onboarding form
Clearer sections, a progress bar, and a tidier review step when you first tell us about your business.
- NewSync appointments to your own calendar
One-time setup from the Calendar tab. Every appointment we book for you appears in Google, Apple, or Outlook automatically.
- ImprovedA sharper look across your dashboard
Cleaner buttons, clearer headings, and better contrast in both light and dark mode.
- ImprovedFaster pages
The dashboard, calendar, and metrics pages now load noticeably quicker.
- NewInstant replies to new leads
New leads get a text reply within seconds, any time of day, so they stay warm until the appointment is booked.
- NewHot lead email alerts
When a lead looks especially strong, you get an email straight away so you can be the first to call.
- NewEvery lead gets its own page
Tap any lead to see their answers, energy bill details, and history in one place.
- NewDark mode
Pick light, dark, or follow your device from Settings. Your choice sticks across visits.
